AUTUMN AND WINTER MEETINGS

During the autumn and winter months, the club holds 3 Sunday afternoon open meetings at which members discuss ideas and plans for the next show season. There are occasional film shows and talks, both by members and outside speakers. In the early years of the club, members met in various stately homes and fine hotels, and this tradition continues in the grand setting of the Oaklands Hall Hotel, Barton Street, Laceby, near Grimsby .

GRAND CHRISTMAS LUNCH

This event is the highlight of the winter season, and is also held in the opulent surroundings of the Oaklands Hall Hotel. About one hundred members and friends create a festive Christmas atmosphere, with hats, crackers, a popular table quiz, and a huge Christmas raffle.

A WARM WELCOME TO ALL CLASSIC VEHICLE ENTHUSIASTS

The club is open to all with an interest in classic vehicles, Eligibility for most shows is that a vehicle must be over 25 years old. Currently, this includes vehicles made up to and including 1989, with the date rolling forward each year. Cars, Motor cycles, light commercials up to 12 cwt, and Land Rovers with rear seats are all welcome. Organisers of particular events sometimes impose other restrictions, and the decision as to which vehicles are admitted rests with the event co-ordinator..

Younger enthusiasts are encouraged to join, since they are the future of the classic vehicle movement.

As a club member, you meet fellow enthusiasts who between them own a wide range of cars light commercials and motorcycles, spanning a century of motoring history. They are always willing to chat, exchange stories and give motoring advice. As the oldest motor club in Britain, we are proud of our heritage and hold true to the principle of mutual support established by our founders in 1900.
